Academically, Anita is a sociology and philosophy scholar, who has a grounded knowledge of human psyche whether it be personal life or artistic life. Her literary works are the brainchild of her longing to write comprehensive books on Bharatanatyam, for all age groups. Her profound familiarity in various genres is exemplified through her narrations with citations from ancient Indian texts like Veda, Upanishad, Sutra, till contemporary World literature.
